In 2008, I quit my job in art therapy and flew to Iquitos Peru to present my artwork at the 5th International Shamanism Conference. I ended up studying ayahuasca shamanism for 8 months, three of them living in the jungle. This book was created from my daily field notes during those 8 months, as well as during two months of travel in Mexico afterwards. It shares my experiences with shamanism, my renunciation of it as a spiritual path, and my return to Christianity.
